I use pic related, and it works great, small pockets are usefull, straps underneeth alow attaching something like umbrella or poncho.
One just needs to get a strap for it, they sell those without one or one thats garbage. I use straps from old laptop bags etc.
Czechoslovakian haversack is cool too, less pockets, but waterproof.
