>>2029757The west is a known quantity. It is not underrated. People pay thousands to fly in from far away and fish and such. For the most part the central appies are undervalued. But, there is a much longer snow-and-ice free season of warmer weather compared to out west.
I'm not remotely jealous of the west. I am very happy to have what I have here. Driving through the green lush mountains here always brings me comfort and I eagerly await the arrival of spring soon.
When I lived briefly in rural Oregon, it snowed in May. I don't miss that.
