>>1152381>skinwalkers aren't realEver heard of the black swan problem? Most swans we see are white, but to assume there are no black swans we would have to prove that nowhere at no point in time there ever was, is or will be a black swan. We can agree that's quite impossible to pull off.
So we have to go the other way around: find mentionings of black swans and investigate. If we can prove that it's a faulty report, that's fine. If there is no conclusive results we have to let it open. If the report survives any attempt of scrutiny, it might very well be a real case.
Do we have cases? Plenty. Human history is full of reports about humanoid beings that have animal features, some can be attributed to heraldics, such as Egyptian ntr featuring animal heads, which was the ancient equivalent of modern football mascots. Others however were quite explicit and authentic reports, such as the reverence paid towards cows and bulls in India or Minoan and Egyptian culture. The latter even built labyrinths and massive granite tombs to seal away whatever creature they faced.
The Serapeum of Sakkara harbors all kinds of remains of holy animals, that were revered for their heavenly origin and inherent immortality, as they'd come back to life after being killed. In consequence, their corpses were cut to pieces and wrapped in all sorts of layers and bitumen, sealed away in absolutely massive granite coffins with no one knowing how they got there or were made.
