I need your help /hgm/. I am growing stuff on my balcony, already had a few plants growing in those balcony planter boxes (rosemary, mint, laurel, thyme) and they survived through the winter from last year (the mint resowed itself).
Picrel are my pots that I have. There is also one spot open in my balcony planter box, though that is small. Had a chili in there last year that died when winter came.
I want to plant the following plants:
Sorrel,
peppers (capsicum annuum)
butterhead/head lettuce,
Bok Choy,
some "asian spicy greens mix" (lettuce greens basically),
chard (a red and yellow mix)
Now to my issue:
>which of these do you think can live the best in the shallow pots (specifically the long one with the 3 compartments)? Which one needs the least deep roots?
Probably won't put more than one "throwaway" plant into that miniscule pot (the 12x15 cm one).
Thanks for the help, I'm still new to gardening.
