I have a 300mm lens with some vibration reduction stuff on it which makes it easy to snap clear images of animals fast.
You can have an awesome $5,000 camera, but if you are taking a picture with poor lighting or misconfigured settings, it'll look like shit. Buy a cheaper camera first and give it a shot.
