I did the midnight drive up to Mt Washington once, go up there around 4am and by 8am or so we were heading home. Friends were in the back nodding off tired and I had a fucking moose run out in front of me on the highway. Slammed the brakes and just stopped in time, like maybe 3ft front crashing through its legs.
Thing was humongous, its belly was higher than the roof of my car.
