Cancelled a hike up the Sandias in Albuquerque NM because of rain. Very rocky trail, it’s dangerous as all fuck even when it’s dry. I’m talking 2ft wide trails of loose rock with a mountain face on the left and a cliff with probably 300ft drop and another 100ft of rag doll corpse rolling to the right. Did it the next day in tennis shoes. Scary stuff. Couldn’t do last like 2-3 miles due to 4ft of snow. It was weird, it got slightly more snowy as you went up and then suddenly was like fucking Alaska in the winter. Felt like crossing into a new zone in an MMO / RPG game. Mountains are crazy
