I live in the black forest in germany and here are some really beautiful places. Especially during fall when it gets foggy there is something "mystical" in the air. Can't wait for fall to go to my mushroom places again (chanterelles grow a lot here). The only thing that I don't like is that you cross over a path every 15 minutes when you wander through the forest here. The carpathian mountains of Romania or Balkan generally seem also very interesting. I really like the carpathian landscape but I never managed to hike there sadly.
