I have just been tightening my drag super tight and as soon as I get hooked up I just reel as fast as I can. Any other ways to avoid this problem?
Also, What are some good lures to fish thick cover? I was fishing a golf course pond today and kept seeing huge boils in the middle of cover. Caught this one today in open water, on the course, it was a shallow pond. I was using a texas rigged 8 inch purple/black curly tail worm.
Any help would be appreciated.
