>>1357489We are dealing with a boar overpopulation in many regions here in Germany, and I have run across them a couple of times when hiking or straggling around. They always immediately fled, even that one time when a sow let me come really close to the bush she and her piglets were hiding in. I used to be pretty spooked by them, too, but nowadays I dont even think about them. They are not predators, and will never pick a fight without being provoced.
Be cautious not to corner them by accident, and keep an eye open, but other than that, you really should not let them spoil your trip!
