My two are really well behaved. I'm not sure why people always blame their mistakes and think it's he dogs fault. You can get a dog with a bad temperament, but it's up to you to make sure it's obedient and has good manners.
Anywho, labs are popular for a reason. They're good with other animals, good with kids and people of all shapes and sizes... and they are the perfect innawoods dogs. They have the strength and stamina to go for a long time, and won't run off on you. They seem naturally inclined to stick by your side, recall has always been one of the easiest things to teach for me.
Plus they're good looking dogs.
