I was working today right by this lake with peacocks and some nice LMB in it, right around 11am. But it's super clear water and those lakes you can really only hit em with good conditions.
Anyway there were a few kids/dudes maybe high school or college age casting Rat-L-Traps and shit and gettin nothing. I was going to tell em the spot right around the bend where I often land nice LMB but then the cocky fisherman took over in me and I let em fail. Rat-L-Traps ain't gonna land largemouth at 11am on a sunny July day anyway. Not in Florida.
