Every National Forest is exploited for its resources one way or the other. The only truly protected areas are wilderness designated areas, of which every National Forest has 2 or 3.
The Forest Service is one of the few government agencies where tax dollars are not wasted. I beg that you educate yourself in the important work we do day in and day out to protect, preserve, and prudently exploit America's beautiful public lands.
