Barberry and rosehip can give fruits during all 4 seasons in my region, I'm planting them in random spots wherever I go and hopefully some of them will take root and grow well, if everybody did the same we would never run out of edible wild fruit, so if you know any kind of berries that are good for your region's climate, consider planting them on your way, some time later you may need to pass through the same route again and next time you do at least you have a chance of finding something nice and edible.
