>>109077i use the lazy man's medium of just long fibered sphagnum moss with all of my carnivorous plants, and they seem to do well enough. in the winter when things cool down and some of my plants go into dormancy the moss gets some growth and looks nice.
mostly i keep drosera and sarracenia. i have one dionaea and terrestrial utricularia though.
i'm relatively new at keeping carnivorous plants, so i haven't really experimented with different soils.
i would suggest adding perlite to the peat moss to help aerate the roots. seems like sand and peat, or just peat, would be kind of heavy and hard for roots to spread?
took this picture of my drosera capensis the other day. next to it is some sort of pygmy drosera, i can't really remember which because i threw away the identification without thinking. ( ._.)
