I have a small daysailer built in 1936. its been through some shit but has been restored by my dad and then later by my dad and me.
put it to water last weekend and set the mast yesterday. unfortunately didnt have time to sail because we had to get back home. gonna sail this weekend and plan to camp on it for the first time next week, explore some small islands, make a campfire and all the good stuff.
I also think about replacing some of the buoyancy bags with styrofoam or something I can cut into shape and clamp it in there. the bags are in the locker thing in the back and underneath the front hood (germanfag so Idk any english nautical terms) and take up a lot of space I'd like to use to store things.
I could also put some thin styrofoam lining underneath the deck on the side, theres a bit of room there.
anyone got ideas as to what material would work for this? or if it would even work to replace the air filled bags?
