I had a pair of Chaco hiking sandals with the aggressive Vibram tread soles. I did all of my desert hiking in those things for about 3 years. Probably put 250 miles on them without so much as a fray in the webbing. They were so comfy and the tread was stout as fuck. I left them out one day and my dog decided they would be a good chew toy and shredded them.
I took that dog on one last walk in the woods with my .22
Got a new dog a few months later but never bought a new pair of Chacos.
