I love this park, i visit it almost monthly. I know a lot of cool places in this park, I've explored it more than any other park. Cottonwood is the best campground for stargazing all the other campgrounds are too close to light pollution. You might even hear bighorn sheep or coyotes at night. Well if there aren't any loud fucking humans camping near you. In the summer time the red tailed hawks ride the thermals in the evening near mastadon peak. I've camped at White Tank when it was closed. I was the only human for miles and miles. Shit was so cash. I've climbed Eagle Peak during the summer in 105 degree weather. I ran down Ryan Mountain last time i visited. During the winter it gets chilly at night but during the day its perfect weather for hiking. Two weeks ago it was so windy at night. Combine that with the cold and it was a very chilly night. I have like 2k pictures of that park on my phone. I've found all sorts of cool rock formations that aren't on trails. It really is a great place.
