My spot is an island in the river made from collapsed pilings of an old bridge. I reach it by swimming, pushing a tube with my stuff on it ahead of me. On one side of the island there is a shallow sandy area with weeds, the other side becomes deep almost immediately. It is a great island for fishing, especially during the summer when the water is comfortable to wade in.
