If I could use alcohol as a metaphor, cigs are like natty light. pipes are like a fine wine, and nasal snuff is like shots of everclear (for the good stuff) to complete the metaphor. I feel that cigars fall somewhere between cigs and pipes, a nice craft beer, perhaps.
