>>1129248You need to use "determinate" varieties tomato plants. They stop growing after x amount of time. "Indeterminate" varieties never stop growing if the environment is good and they don't die off. Of the determinate varieties you need to use the "dwarf" cultivars. Those can be as short as 2 feet high, but normally range 3-4 feet depending on culvivar. You'd need to lean the taller ones to the side to maintain them under 3 feet high. Don't prune or sucker then because that reduces crop yields.
