>>2778426>>2777992You can mitigate this issue by doing pic related: Wrap your Zippo into a plastic bag. Make the bundle reasonably tight, so it becomes air gapped. I've been doing this for years now, 5-6 weeks of operational time guaranteed every time if you do this properly instead of half-assing it. As an added bonus, the Zippo is also now rain resistant.
