Hot springs in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest are a good example of naked-related activity. Often I'm only wearing some water shoes to protect my feet from the rocks, etc. A practical reason for not wearing a suit is that, once you get out of the really nice hot water, the suit becomes an instant evaporative cooler, freezing whatever it is on. If the air is cool the water usually heats you enough so you can dry off and get in warm dry clothes right away without the discomfort caused by a soggy swimsuit.
