Can any (animal) /out/fags help me figure out some logistics? Any input or insight is welcome, I just need more heads giving it a thought.
I am thinking about starting overnight trips with my cat, he already goes /out/ with me in a backpack carrier that doubles as his bed/HQ. If I start doing overnight I have to obviously take more gear. But I am not really sure how to manage carrying him plus extra gear.
Things I have
>Old school Berghaus pack that is easily 60L+ and can carry the average overnight gear
>A pet backpack, it's pretty big, too big to front wear as it obscures vision and arm movement. But it folds up at least(unsure if it fits in backpack yet). Kinda needed as well so he can sleep in the tent without risk of scratching it.
>A Bicycle with a small detachable basket, big enough for the cat but not as secure or ideal.
>Cat, kinda big and walks short distances before needing to be carried. Tent damage risk without pet carrier.
The bike isn't 100% needed but is helpful for getting places. It can always be chained up elsewhere.
If I pack flatly I can probably put stuff in the pet carrier and still have the cat inside. Maybe the same for the Berghaus, he spends most of his time on top of the bag and on my shoulder anyway.
I thought about one of those front wearing carriers/slings for the cat but I don't know if he'll like it or it will be comfortable.
