I've got a 2013 Honda CR-V. I think it's a pretty quality car. I've crossed the country six times in it with no problems, I've done a good few thousand miles on unpaved roads, and I've driven the Lost Coast highway in California in it, which is a real fucking joke of a road if you've ventured out there.
Otherwise, reliable car that also doubles great as a car camper. I've slept comfortably in it while out and rain/wind/stone prohibited me from setting up a tent. You can fit a small mattress in it with the seat's folded down.
Otherwise, yeah, 100k miles with only maintenance issues. I guess the japanese figured out a solid car. I hear they can get 250k miles but we'll see. It's not one of those million mile cars, but that'd be a real (dangerous) accomplishment.
