Unfortunately, both the marked campsites near Hill End are NPWS-maintained, which meant having to pay ($7/night unpowered), but at least there was a $1 hot shower. The site I chose was the Glendora campground; the 'Village' campground closer to the town was filled with retirees in RVs.
Too much bother is put into the place, imho. Staff with wages being used to over-groom a basic campsite, trying to make it more appealing to affluent white baby-boomers.
