The pack itself seems to be pretty close to mint condition, no rust, markings, or torn leather etc. The leather was a bit dry(obviously it was built in 1941 after all) but it seems to be getting more supple, just rubbed it with balm for a second time(first time yesterday).
Although there was a small tear or whatever high up on the front of the pack near the cord which is unfortunate but maybe I am just being autistic.
