Picked up my first pipe, this Missouri Meerschaum Legend and some local blend tobacco (the tobacconist said this was their most popular aromatic).
I've smoked 3 bowls out of it so far and while I enjoy the act of smoking the tobacco doesn't have much flavor (it smells incredible though, I'd love a candle of it) even if I retro hale.
Keeping the pipe lit is a hassle but I'm sure that's due to my inexperience. Actually smoking the pipe is a bit difficult as it's very different to what I'm used to (inhaling things like joints or hookah). I've tried using the breath method as explained on a YouTube video, but I end up blowing more smoke out of the pipe than I do my mouth or nose, which feels wasteful (it's also not relaxing since I'm quite focused on doing it right).
I haven't experienced tongue bite though the top of my mouth gets a bit prickly after a bit and I'm not sure why
I'll probably finish this ounce and determine if I'll stay in the hobby, I must admit it's hard for me to reconcile the health risks (it's been hard to find information on pipe tobacco that isn't related to cigarettes) and the lack of flavor is irritating
