ULA circuit is not a bad choice. I've used it extensively both for multiday backpacking and singleday trips. I've used it for a thru-hike, for backcountry ski trips, as a gear bag for climbing, for scrambling, etc. It compresses quite well with small loads and is very light, while handling loads up to 35lb very well and having lots of space on the outside for strapping shit like sleeping pads, traction, ice axes poles, etc. Only wear after almost 5000k put on it and 170+ days of use is that the zippers on the side pockets are falling apart, otherwise, good as new.
>>1813348That is retarded advice. If your goal is long-distance and injury prevention, you should drastically lighten pack weight, part of which is using a lighter backpack, which is going to be an internal frame. There is a reason nobody in the long distance hiking community uses ridiculous surplus external frames, and that reason is because they're stupid heavy, impractical and lightweight internal frames get the job done much better.
