anybody else have very out parents as they were growing up? I did and did not realise how luck I was until I ended up in a big city and mingled with those typical "5km is such a long distance to walk!" city nerds.
If you guys have any cool stories or experiences or summaries pls do tell. I will start:
>be my family
>four of us
>parents took us cross country skiing in utah when I was 10
>took us on a 10k hike in the alps to Italy France border when I was like 13
>took us to a rescue hut in the french alps at like 14
>always took us on road trips and hikes when we lived in america
>hiked glacier NP and Yellowstone before I was even a teen
>camped in wyoming with them
>sang folk songs while walking YS trails with them to "scare off bears" (i think they just wanted to sing)
>hiked bryce canyon with them
>went to very low-pop trails regularly
overall very good parents, glad to not be a cityfag who has never bonded with their families in the great outdoors
