Plus with Texas rigs, if you do the weight setup right, the tails of whatever worm or bait you are using will float up off the bottom a bit and give it great movement. Hard to get that with a jig.
Also with the jigs, sometimes the bass won't grab those big 1oz jigs hard enough and it can be tough to get a solid hook set.
I never fished jigs before and like a year and a half ago the fags here were talking about how great they were so I bought a bunch. Then I finally gave Texas rigs a chance and didn't go back to jigs after that.
