I have two ACDs, and I live on about half an acre, which seems to suit them fine. I am looking at taking the younger guy out to some parks with me- does anyone have any suggestions on how to train them for that sort of thing? My older ACD is pretty lazy and has been edgy around other people and dogs since getting attacked as a puppy, so I'd probably just take the pup.
For anyone interested in them, I would highly recommend them as companions if you have the time. They are one of the most loyal dog breeds, and I've lived with ACD's my whole life. Hell, my dad loved his best bud ACD more than anything- he cried when he passed more than he did at his mothers funeral.
