>What uses do you give them?HMK Backcountry, ~20L ... My moto "day pack". Narrow enough to not get caught on trees when I'm riding... camelbak pocket... couple of smaller pockets on top for keys/compass/phone/etc. Big enough for tools/stuff without being uncomfortably fuckhueg.

Old internal-frame pack... probably 50L. I use this for multi-day rides, or when I'm carrying Nikon/gear that I don't want to have to cram into my HMK pack. Nice because it's big, sucks because all the space is in two big sections. Doesn't have any pouches/pockets for small stuff. I've had this pack for at least 15 years, hiked Philmont with it in '99.
Then my everyday backpack, swiss-army brand. Laptop sleeve, pouches on the side for computer/camera/etc cables, pockets for charger/calculator/phone/pens.
