The trails may not be long, but places like Glenn Helen and Clifton Gorge have some beautiful spots. Some of my best hikes in OH there.

You can read the rest yourself but tl;dr meditation has a direct measurable effect on how the brain functions and rewires itself. It's not purely psychosomatic.

That's maybe 10% of the wammin population at most that got mentally screwed up by abuse or something in their formative years. The reason they seem more prevalent than they are is because sexual appetite tends to be paired with weird fetish stuff like that (or vice versa), so the ladies that pursue men are more likely to also be kinda screwed up. I'd wager the average female isn't into that stuff at all unless in their fantasy they're getting raped by Orlando Bloom and it's all tender and soft.
