>>911436The social aspect was cool. The AT has its own culture, lingo, and legends. Floating in and out of groups, running into people you hadn't seen in months. Some areas are quite empty of people. Some are quite full of day hikers. At times I would be bothered by the presence of others (mainly because other people complained about it and put it in my head.) But it is not my trail. It is not my forest. It is not my mountain.
