Thanks to Rockefeller education I don't know shit about the natural world except for what I've learned on the internet. I want to know about trees, herbs, fish, mushrooms, and other plants. I want to learn how to identify and recognise seperate species and know their characteristics.
>Why not just go outside?
I won't know what the things I'm looking at are called
>Why not use the internet?
I find it easier to retain knowledge from books, plus all the info will be in one place.
I'm specifically interested in Northern Hemisphere stuff as I have no intention of ever going to the tropics. I live in colorado so that would be the most useful info but I'm interested in the rest of north america and europe as well.
If you know any books like I'm describing to teach a retard about nature please share in this thread.
