RV camping is not camping. It's Glamping, glamor camping. There's nothing wrong with it either.
I backpack and hammock camp, something I really enjoy, but I also have an RV.
We ue ours basically like a mobile hotel room. It has all the comforts of home. We can go to an area, and take our camp site, and then have a great home base for exploring that srea, weather it's a city near by, a state park, or hiking trails. We also will sometimes bring bikes or kayaks and do some of that.
Ours has an outdoor kitchen (one inside too), so we do all our meals out there. We grill, smoke things in my smoker, fry some fish, and enjoy the meal outside. It's like a mobile hotel room that let's you be outside more. It's great when we get several of us together with RVS (my whole family has them). We have big meals together, sit around the fire together, and do things around the area together.
They're really great, but its not really camping, which is why I also have my backpacking stuff.
