>>1701039My bag is the MR Hip Monkey and it's fantastic. Perfect size, super durable, super comfortable to carry, with minimal organization, and it looks simple and rugged. Not terribly expensive either. And I prefer bags that have compression straps on the exterior.
Other bags I considered were the Road Runner Lil Guy, Mountainsmith Tour lumbar pack, and Patagonia Black Hole 5L, Stealth 10L, or Storm Front 9L. But these were all either too small, too big, too expensive, or too tactical looking. I really would recommend the Hip Monkey if you want a larger pack, or the MR Full Moon if you want a smaller pack. The Full Moon is basically the same bag as the Hip Monkey, but it's 6.2L versus 8L and is more of a "traditional" style fanny pack. Only negative to the MR fanny packs is that they have no strap management whatsoever, as you can see. It doesn't bother me, but is easily fixable yourself if it would bother you.
