>>134496Not sure how effective it would be for deer but this was what we did duck hunting.
I posted that pic above with one spot we hunted. I would normally have my actual headlamp then carry a cheap LED flashlight I got from Walmart. Got a 3 pack for like $10 with batteries. I would leave that light tied to a tree at the point "big opening". It's kind of a bottleneck right right there and it's the only really access point. That way they think someone is sitting that far back. Alot of times they would give that some distances while we were actually posted up halfway between it and "Sit Logs". We would put decoys up when no one was there at "Sit Logs" then move back to the halfway point and wait closer to actual shooting hours (30mins before sunrise). While sitting I've got a fairly powerful headlamp and when people start moving close you shine them off. Point the light their direction and rotate it to ensure they see it. My friend carries a q beam and we both keep "shining off" people until we know they see the light. Typically they stop when they see it. This might work early morning for deer hunting if you plan staying in one positition.
We also talk shit to people tht get close. They never really talk back though.
