This is the first time I'm growing winter squashes and I just noticed this. It's not that noticeable but the stem is actually still attached to the plant and has healed to some extent. Still, should I be doing something about this squash?
There is also a bit of mildew but should I really care about it when the leaves have already started to wilt?
Lastly, is the colour normal? It's bright orange underneath if I make a small cut with my nail (I lost the package the seeds came in but I don't remember buying white/pale yellow squahes). They actually were orange at first but they become paler and paler as they grew in size.
