Maybe not /out/-specific, but I bought a cheap Chinese "Tank007" pocket light with a Cree LED. Some of the things I like about it:
1. Light enough to carry 24/7 in pocket. I wrap a rubber band around mine so I can bite it while working on motorbike engine/chain
2. Three brightness levels, the brightest one lasts about 30 minutes
3. Uses a single AAA, same as my radio. I take a 24-pack on long trips
4. Has a lanyard ring to tie it up if you go swimming or boating
I'm pretty sure it's not meant to be waterproof, but it has an o-ring and I have put it throught the washing machine a couple times with no ill effects.
