They sound pretty good for what they are. I think one I have uses 3 inch inside diameter, thin-wall grey piping.
Here's an example of what they look like. The only real draw back is that the hole for the mouth is one size so not everyone can use the same one very well. The others use bee's wax so people can change the shape of the hole.
