While I have my watch, I also have previously attained an astrolabe which exactly does that: Position of sun above the horizon or a certain star in the sky gives me the time.
There is no correction for daylight savings time because the stars don't "move back an hour". Relatively speaking I've gotten +/- 15 minutes in true time from readings on betelgeuse at 45 degrees longitude.
It's really fun to get into the science of astronomy, but your post lacks any sense you were trying to be truthful about it.
Anyways, the watch feels really nice. A+
