We had a 5 day outing in Lierne followed by a short car ride and then an 11 day outing in Blåfjella (literally meaning the blue mountain).
There are almost no trails in this area so it is truly backcountry. Very difficult to hike through because of shrubs and harsh terrain. But there are no people at all. We did not se anybody for the 16 days we were there and there were almost no traces of humans either.
