>>2333011i'd really like to go back in late spring when its just greening up but not super hot yet
i was there 2 years ago in the summer and it was humid and hot and I just did an hour on the easiest railroad grade trail so I went back and did a proper hike there last month
its a really moist part of WV so it tends to be pretty cloudy a lot because the plateau traps the moisture (to the east is the rain-shadow)
my goal was to make it this time to tenskawatana falls - and i did - but i didn't get to the bottom of them for the best shot because it was really steep and we had already been walking for hours
the abandoned logging road section uphill between tenskawatana falls and the old fire tower was the coolest terrain in my mind
but it was MUDDY
