I'm torn between whether or not I prefer floating or suspending lures. floating means less lost lures, but I do hate when they float up too fast. same for suspending... true suspenders, aka extremely slow sinking are what I like... hate ones that sink fast. I will remove or add weight where necessary to tune these things though. I love the size of the small Rapala ultra light minnow, haven't tried the bigger one yet but plan to since it's the same 1/8oz. I put smaller hooks on it though to reduce some weight for slower sink, and they just seemed excessively large to me for the application. It's just got such a finely tuned action compared to a lot of lures. perfect amount of roll/wobble, and does the exact same controlled motion with every jerk.
