Tie a foot of tippit to the end of your line on an ultra light rod and use a davyknot or similar to tie on your midge hook
Pinch on the strike indicator so the bait is just barely off the bottom and the splitshot at the 1/3 mark between the hook and the float (favoring the hook end) then bait a single maggot like pic related
