Scots view is not the same as the whole of the borders and i did a section that goes through the lammermuirs and it was pretty desolate. didn't enjoy it. I might do the st cuthberts way though - goes from melrose abbey, over the eildons in the picture, over the cheviots and down to lindisfarne. If you have questions about the area feel free to ask.
