also picked up garmin 62s. was deciding between that and the oregon 600. settled on the former because buttons can be manipulated with thick gloves, plus the external antenna gets slightly better reception, and i managed to find one for $150 less than the oregon 600. i usually use gaia gps on my iphone with a battery pack, but a garmin is more accurate, waterproof, doesn't lose power in cold temps, and has way better battery life.
next on the list is msr lightning ascent 22" snowshoes. hoping an REI member sale will come up before december.
