>>794942I think your best bet would be to go with a store brand setup. The Bass Pro setups are good for the money.
You could always do the Abu Silver Max on an Ugly Stik like I have. $60 for the reel and $40 for the rod. If I were to that again though, I would grab the Berkley Lightning Rod Shock instead of an Ugly Stik for the faster action which is nice with braid and baitcasters. I think if you can grab that Bass Pro Bionic combo right now, that will be the best bang for your buck. I was checking out those rods when I bought the Abu Vendetta and they were both pretty nice for $80. I think the reel is $80 too so that's a $160 combo for $120.
Bass Pro doesn't deal much with Lew's, but you might be able to find a Lew's combo at Cabela's or Dick's for that money. Third option if you want to keep it cheap would be one of those Okuma Stratus V baitcasters from Dick's. They go on sale for $30-$40 a lot and everybody says they are nice for the money. Then grab whatever rod you like. Still would say Berkley Lightning Rod casting with the Okuma would be great for ~$75 and leaves you a little extra for some PowerPro.
